Please Note: All quilting classes welcome all skill levels unless otherwise noted on an individual class. KMIS strongly encourages all students without quilting experience to begin by taking Beginning Quilting prior to taking any specialty classes.

Beginning Machine Quilting
This is the total quilting workshop for beginners. Students will begin by selecting the fabric all the way through sewing the final binding. The final product is a lovely quilt that looks much more difficult than it really is. Learn to master techniques such as rotary cutting, strip piecing, getting perfect points, making the quilt sandwich, basic machine quilting, and binding.

Borders, Bindings, Backings and Labels
Learn how to put borders onto your quilts so they lay flat. Your binding will have perfect mitered corners whether hand or machine sewn. Understand how to determine the amount of fabric needed for backing your quilt project. Learn how to piece fabric for a backing that doesn't fit the normal size fabric width. See why labels are important and how to make them with style.

Workbook is a class designed to teach machine owners how to maximize the use of a machine. Workbook classes are specific to particular machines and are available free of charge to those who purchase their machine at Keep Me In Stitches.
