Long Arm Quilting Forum
This forum is exclusive for customers who purchased the Jewel or Handi Quilter from KMIS. During each forum, Allen will be discussing and demonstrating various topics that will make using these extraordinary machines much easier. Such topics include but are not limited to the following: accessories, tools, software loading, types of batting, threads, the use of pantographs, boards, stencils and much more.

Beginning Machine Quilting
This is the total quilting workshop for beginners. Learn to master techniques such as rotary cutting, strip piecing, getting perfect points, making the quilt sandwich, basic machine quilting, and binding. You will complete the quilt within the 4 sessions with guidance from your teacher. KMIS will be gladly assist in selecting fabrics for your new quilt. (This should be done a day or so prior to class.) The final product is a lovely quilt that looks much more difficult than it really is.

This is a quick and easy serger project to show off those larger prints that are so popular right now. No piecing required. Sewing 1-The Basics
This class offers a gentle introduction into the world of sewing. It begins with an introduction to the sewing machine, fabric and pattern selection, notions and techniques. Students will conclude the class by making various simple projects using the newly learned techniques.

Sewing... Beyond the Basics
Take your basic sewing skills to the next level while creating a custom made blouse that is both stylish and comfortable. Students will review the skills learned in Sewing 1 and learn new techniques such as inserting a notched collar and pockets, setting in sleeves, and much more. This is a next level class for those people who recently finished Sewing 1.

The By Popular Demand blouse from Louise Cutting is a collarless, semi-fitted high hip length top that has cap sleeves and a curved hem. The details are in the edge stitching and top stitching! This is a fabulous "Florida style" top that looks equally well with skirts, pants, shorts or jeans. A medium weight cotton works best to show off this easy-to-wear style. Students will use ease charts to select their correct pattern size and will make simple alterations. Easy Quilted Jacket
This is a very easy jacket to make. You will simply use the sweatshirt as a base and "paint" the fabric all over until you get the look you want. If you happen to have an embroidery machine and have made samples of your embroidery to test your designs, these could be easily incorporated into the jacket. Embellishments are great on this type of garment. The only requirement is to have fun creating a one of kind garment.

Farewell to Arms Skirt
This Louise Cutting skirt is Florida-friendly and warm-weather comfort. The skirt is constructed of four gored panels, with decorative bulk-free pockets that are located slightly forward of the side seams. The skirt fits nicely through the hips and drops to an almost bias look and feel. The waist is elasticized with a decorative flute at the top. The hem is edge stitched and top stitched which adds to the drape of the skirt.
