KEEP ME IN STITCHES OFFERS LATEST WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY

TAMPA, Fla. (April 7, 2005)— Keep Me In Stitches, Tampa’s own specialty sewing boutique, announces the latest in sewing technology. Called StitchLink, the wireless device integrates wireless technology into sewing for the leisure or hobby sewer or for the home-based business professional.

StitchLink, created by Silex Technology America, Inc. was designed to move pattern data and software upgrades directly from a personal computer to a sewing machine through wireless connection. This feature provides ease and creative flexibility to sewers of all kinds. StitchLink, a wireless USB device, attaches to most USB equipped sewing machines and eliminates the clutter of wires.

The benefits of this latest technology are that it eliminates the need to use removable storage disks, or having to be connected with a cable. The retail price is $249 and is currently available at both Keep Me In Stitches locations, south Tampa and Carrollwood.

“We are always looking for innovative products and technology to provide our customers,” said Veronica Bermudez, co-owner of Keep Me In Stitches. “The sewing trend is advancing rapidly through technology and high-end sewing machines and targeting a new generation of sewers.”

According to the author of Get Crafty, the idea of crafting individual clothing has a special appeal to a new sewing generation that has come of age in a world of global mass marketing.

Melissa Helms, co-owner of Keep Me In Stitches said, “We are seeing a trend among a younger generation of sewers interested in creating unique, and memorable items from purses, clothing and even quilts.”
