What's Under Your Needle? Part 4 - New Projects and More!

It’s time for another edition of What’s Under Your Needle? Part 4. Everyone is keeping busy!
Nearly everyone we talk to is helping to make masks for the healthcare workers, first responders, and others who need them. There are a number of programs that have popped up in our area and across the country. It’s amazing to see so many people working with their communities to fill this need. We thank each and every one of you for committing to this very important project.
Today we have an update from Sarah as well as new projects from Chris Clark, Beth Hoffman, and Andrea Shields. Let’s see what they’re up to!
Sarah’s Sewing Room – Part 4
Sarah is still making her Whizz Bang blocks and beginning to fill in her quilt. She’s really pleased with her progress thus far. She’s been working away on her project and is ready for the big reveal! She has laid out her blocks, decided on a final design, sewn them together, quilted and embellished it, and is working on the binding.

Sarah’s Sewing Room – Part 4
Sarah is still making her Whizz Bang blocks and beginning to fill in her quilt. She’s really pleased with her progress thus far. She’s been working away on her project and is ready for the big reveal! She has laid out her blocks, decided on a final design, sewn them together, quilted and embellished it, and is working on the binding.
She did a combination of quilting techniques using her BERNINA 770 QE Tula Pink Edition and both the walking foot and stitch regulator during free-motion quilting. Sarah loves her stitch regulator, as it really helps her make perfect stitches and designs!

Serger Samples!
Chris Clark has been home busy in her sewing room. On this day, she was working on a new set of Serger Samples for the stores. Chris is making them with her Baby Lock Ovation. They will be used to show people all the cool stitches that the Baby Lock sergers can do. We can’t wait to see them in person!

Quilts for St. Joseph's Hospital NICU
A few times a year we host a volunteer working session to make quilts for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital. It’s a volunteer event we have done for many years, and we love supporting such an amazing program.
After volunteering many hours, Beth Hoffman decided to keep on going. Knowing there is always a need for more quilts, Beth generously took quilts home to work on. This quilt was #7 under the needle of her BERNINA 790 Plus Anniversary Edition. She has made great progress and we thank Beth for her time and commitment!
Another New Class Sample
Andrea Shields has been busy! This Vinyl Portfolio is a sample for a class in our next class session. We love this project! They are perfect for carrying your projects and tools to and from class. Plus, Andrea tells us they were easy to make with her Baby Lock Solaris. She used her favorite peices from the Tula Pink Homemade fabric line.
